Auto-Pedestrian Collision Near Mt. Emma Road Kills 21-Year-Old Man

PALMDALE, CA (February 9, 2024) – Sunday morning, Steven Castillo Sanchez was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash along Angeles Forest Highway.

The CHP responded to the incident around 7:25 a.m. at 32101 Angeles Forest Highway, just south of the 14 Freeway and north of Mt. Emma Road.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. However, the first responders declared the pedestrian deceased at the scene.

Later, the California Highway Patrol identified the deceased pedestrian as 21-year-old Steven Castillo Sanchez.

It was unclear if the driver involved stayed at the site of the incident and cooperated with the authorities.

No further details regarding the fatal Angeles Forest Highway pedestrian crash have been released to the public. Palmdale Officials will provide more information once available.
