74-Year-Old Man Struck and Killed in Pedestrian Incident near Capricorn Way

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 14, 2022) – Friday morning, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Polaris Drive.

The incident happened on November 11th at around 7:30 a.m. involving a 74-year-old pedestrian and a silver Toyota Tacoma.

According to San Diego Police, the pedestrian was walking northbound when he was struck by the Tacoma.

Furthermore, he ended up under the truck as a result of the collision. Officers arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead upon arrival, due to the extent of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the truck driver remained at the scene and police said that alcohol was not a factor of the crash.

Also, police issued a road closure on Capricorn Way at Polaris Drive for further investigation and motorists were asked to avoid the area to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
