41-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near South Maryland Parkway

LAS VEGAS, NV (February 12, 2024) – One male victim died Friday night in a DUI pedestrian accident on East Tropicana Avenue and South Maryland Parkway. The incident occurred just before 8:30 p.m., on January 26th.

Authorities report that the operator of an eastbound 2022 Cadillac XT5 collided with a man crossing the street outside of a designated crosswalk. Emergency responders later declared the 41-year-old male pedestrian deceased.

Upon initial responsibilities, law enforcement discovered that the Cadillac was not registered, and the driver, who exhibited signs of impairment, stayed at the location.

Police proceeded to apprehend him on charges related to driving under the influence (DUI). Currently, an ongoing investigation is in progress to gather additional information. Further details will be disclosed once they become available.
