Two Suspects At Large after Fatal Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash near North Broadway

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 22, 2024) – An unidentified male motorcyclist was killed Saturday morning, in a hit-and-run crash on South Avenue 20.

Officers arrived to the scene around 7:40 a.m., near North Broadway in Lincoln Heights.

Police say a vehicle, possibly a Ford F-150, ran a red light and collided with a motorcyclist, causing the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle. Shortly afterward, another vehicle approached and ran over the fallen rider, then fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police officers.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The identity of the deceased motorcyclist has not yet been made public.

Police are actively seeking to identify the two drivers involved in the incident. Witnesses to the fatal hit-and-run on South Avenue 20 are urged to contact the LAPD immediately.
