Unidentified Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Pickup-Truck near Ethel Way
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 2, 2024) – One unidentified man was killed and a woman sustained injuries Tuesday morning, in a pedestrian crash on Fruitridge Road.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m., near Ethel and Laurine Way.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that a white pickup truck had struck two pedestrians under unclear circumstances. It has been reported that one of the victims was using a wheelchair when the accident occurred.
Medical responders pronounced the male victim deceased at the scene. Simultaneously, paramedics transported a female pedestrian with severe injuries to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
The identity of the wheelchair-bound victim remains undisclosed. The driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene and collaborated with law enforcement, as per investigators.
