Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle vs Sedan Collision near 42nd Street West

LANCASTER, CA (May 3, 2024) – One motorcycle rider was killed Monday morning, in a hit-and-run crash on Avenue K. The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m., near 42nd Street West. Based on reports, a male rider was ejected from his motorcycle for unclear reasons along the eastbound lanes. Shortly after, the motorcyclist was struck by the driver of white sedan. The impact of the crash left the motorcycle rider with life-threatening injuries. Medical personnel arrived and transported the male rider to a hospital where he died from his injuries. Following preliminary duties, officers say the driver did not pull over and fled the scene without rendering aiding to the victim. Lancaster Officials will provide the identity of the deceased motorcyclist once the next of kin has been notified. Police are asking those with additional information regarding the deadly motorcycle crash on Avenue K hit-and-run to contact the investigators at 661-948-8466.
