43-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Turner Street
HOBBS, NM (May 23, 2024) – Leroy Gonzales died Sunday night in a pedestrian accident on Broadway and Turner Street.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m., near Turner Street on May 12th.
Authorities report that a minor driving a maroon pickup truck hit 43-year-old Leroy Gonzales on the road. Gonzales was quickly transported to Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Emergency responders temporarily closed off the surrounding area to conduct cleanup and initial procedures.
