18-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Arby Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 1, 2023) – Early Friday morning, Isaiah Tecpa was killed in a DUI pedestrian collision on Las Vegas Boulevard just north of Arby Avenue.

Police arrived to the area just before 1:00 a.m., just south of Harry Reid International Airport on October 20th.

Officers say 37-year-old Christopher Thompson was driving a 2011 Dodge Durango south on the road and struck Tecpa who was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk.

Medics arrived shortly after and immediately located Teca lying on the ground. Paramedics later pronounced 18-year-old Tecpa, from La Puente, California deceased.

Moreover, Thompson, of Las Vegas was evaluated and police determined that he was impaired at the time. Police then arrested and booked him into the Clark County Detention Center.
