Car Crash Near 188th Street SW 74-Year-Old Seattle Woman

LYNNWOOD, WA (October 4, 2023) – A two-car collision along Highway 99 Sunday afternoon claimed the life of an elderly adult woman.

The fatal collision happened along the stretch of Highway 99 between 188th Street SW and 196th Street SW.

At this time, the circumstances that led up to the crash remain unclear. However, the first responders declared a 74-year-old woman from Seattle deceased at the scene.

Police identified the driver of the other vehicle as a 19-year-old Lynnwood man. It was unknown if the man sustained any injuries from the incident.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will release the identity of the deceased woman once the next of kin has been notified.  Additionally, police temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

No further details regarding the  Highway 99 two-car collision have been released to the public. Those with further information regarding the fatal Lynnwood crash are encouraged to contact local authorities as soon as possible.
