22-Year-Old Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle vs Semi-Truck Collision near Hartman Road

MARICOPA, AZ (May 22, 2024)Devin Fiedler died Thursday morning in a motorcycle collision on Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway near Hartman Road.

The incident occurred just before 7:00 a.m., on May 16th.

Officers reported that Fiedler was riding a motorcycle in the area when he collided with a semi-truck that was turning at the intersection. The collision threw the rider from the motorcycle onto the road, resulting in critical injuries.

Due to the severity of his condition, medics pronounced 22-year-old Fiedler, of Casa Grande, dead at the scene.

The semi-truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials. Police stated that impairment was not suspected to be a factor in the collision.

Authorities closed the highway between White and Parker Road and Murphy Road for further investigation.
