67-Year-Old Irvine Man Pronounced Dead after Rollover Crash near Trabuco Road

IRVINE, CA (May 16, 2024) Allen Yangkaou Lee died Thursday afternoon in a red-light rollover accident on northbound Culver Drive.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m., near Trabuco Road.

Investigators report that the driver of a 2004 Toyota Corolla tried to avoid a Honda Civic that was turning against a red light. The Corolla driver swerved, lost control, and the car rolled over, crashing into the center median. The Honda Civic driver did not stop and continued northbound on Culver.

Emergency personnel transported the Corolla driver to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday night. Authorities identified the deceased as 67-year-old Lee from Irvine.

Irvine police are now searching for a silver or beige 2008 to 2011 Honda Civic with racing-style decals on the lower doors.
