28-Year-Old Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Northwestern Drive

EL PASO, TX (May 13, 2024)Alexis Rivera died Monday morning in a motorcycle crash at the 7700 block of Hunter Foster Drive.

Police officers responded to the scene near Northwestern Drive, just before 7:00 a.m., on May 6th.

El Paso Police officers found that a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Enchanted Pass, nearing Hunter Foster Drive. The motorcyclist lost control of the 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle, colliding with a curb, barricade, and sign.

The impact threw the rider off the motorcycle onto the road, resulting in severe injuries. Despite efforts to save their life, medics declared 28-year-old Rivera from Sunland Park, New Mexico, deceased.

Initial investigations revealed that Rivera was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Further inquiry is underway by the Special Traffic Investigations Unit, and additional information will be provided once available.
