Three Dead, Including Infant, after Rollover Collision near Little Colorado River

WINSLOW, AZ (May 14, 2024) – Three victims were killed early Wednesday morning, in a rollover collision on eastbound Interstate 40.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m., near the Little Colorado River on April 3rd.

According to reports, a female driver heading east lost control of her vehicle, crashing into the median. When she attempted to return to the road, the vehicle overcorrected and rolled multiple times. The crash ejected three individuals from the vehicle onto the road.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety later confirmed that three people were killed: a 4-month-old baby, a teenager, and a man in his 50s. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the deceased victims.

Additionally, paramedics transported five others to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Crews are currently investigating whether the woman driving the vehicle was impaired at the time of the accident. E

mergency personnel blocked multiple lanes during the clearing operations, which have since been reopened. Further details about the fatal rollover crash on Interstate 40 will be provided as they become available.
