While for you, me, and everyone we know Coachella has been sold-out for months, for members of an exclusive VIP website called GiltCity, this might not be the case.
A tipster pointed us to the webpage by GiltCity, a service catering to affluent
New Yorkers people around the country who consider the Sex & The City lifestyle a good thing. GiltCity is offering an exclusive package (offer ends 4/4, act now ) to the festival that includes, for a paltry $975, things like:
“As a Gilt City member, you'll have access to all of the festival's exclusive enclaves. Think: the best views of the main stage, a cash bar, increased snack options and restrooms with running water and air conditioning. (!) Since no paper tickets will be issued, you'll score a special wristband that must be worn throughout the concert's entirety.”
“Get Psyched: When you're not rocking out to acts like Kings of Leon and Ms. Lauryn Hill, you'll kick back at one of the festival's hottest private parties. (Get this: it's on an 8-acre ranch.) Take a dip in the pool. Enjoy live musical performances. Kick back with an exclusive group of Hollywood's A-listers. There are even three outdoor bars. Insane.”
Yup–“insane” is about right. (Also, at what level of high-end does SCALPING become “exclusive VIP service”?)
Feeling Gilt-y already? Check out more of the perks:
…since you're a Gilt City member, you'll hit the concert like a VIP, partying day and night at an exclusive estate just minutes from the concert grounds. (And entrance to this 8-acre estate is super-coveted.) Think: daytime pool parties, nighttime dance parties, volleyball courts and DJs like Roger Sanchez, Rich Rude and Manufactured Superstars.
More? You'll score shuttle service from Palm Springs and Palm Desert to the festival grounds provided by Limos.com–and an awesome digital download compliments of Universal Music Group featuring select Coachella artists. You'll be the envy of everyone there.
The concert's killer lineup is the cherry on top, covering everything from rap and indie to electronic and alternative. You'll see bands like Chromeo, Ellie Goulding and Bright Eyes. Animal Collective, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa and The Black Keys. Erykah Badu. Cee Lo Green. Arcade Fire.
We've heard it's a pretty crazy time underneath the packed white tents. Our advice?
What happens in Indio stays in Indio.
(Damn right they went there!)
