BLXST returns with “Labor of Love,” his first full BLXST returns with “Labor of Love,” his first fully self-produced album and one rooted in family, vulnerability and growth. The LA artist reflects on reconnecting with his purpose through fatherhood, honoring the home his grandfather built, carrying the torch for the West Coast, and why slowing down helped shape the most personal project of his career. “I just feel real proud of this body of work, knowing that it comes from an authentic place,” he says. “I think it’s going to stand the test of time. It was real stories, real vulnerable moments, and I feel people connect to that.” @blxst Read the story and see the photos thru @laweekly ✍️ @boyface_

The World Cup has brought an endless party atmosph The World Cup has brought an endless party atmosphere to LA, and few events capture that spirit like Copa del Rave. What began in 2019 as a music-industry charity soccer tournament has evolved into a full-scale cultural activation, transforming Academy and Exchange into matchday destinations where giant screens, world-class DJs and local party crews celebrate the nations competing on the pitch. Artists like Claude VonStroke, DJ Minx, BOLO, Ardalan and Todd Edwards join curator crews including Vibraza Records, Haitian Spotlight, Reggaeton Rave and Afrobeats To The World to create immersive experiences with music, specialty drinks and LA food trucks. The residency supports Common Goal, helping expand access to soccer for kids worldwide. "You throw in a last-minute goal, or a big win, and it's a recipe for a really good party," says co-founder Alastair Duncan. @copadelrave
