4-Year-Old Girl Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near 55th Way

LONG BEACH, CA (March 27, 2024) – A pedestrian crash on Paramount Boulevard claimed the life of a young girl Friday night.

The incident occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m., near 55th Way. Officers say the driver of a 2020 Ford F-150 hit the female pedestrian while traveling eastbound on 55th Way.

Paramedics also took the female pedestrian to a local hospital where she later passed away. The involved Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.

Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, the identity of the deceased woman has not been released to the public. Police are asking those who witnessed the deadly collision to call their offices at (562) 570-7355.
