Three Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Phillips Boulevard

POMONA, CA (March 5, 2024) Yesenia Olaez, Lorena Morales, and Alejandra Olaez were killed late Saturday night in a DUI collision on Phillips Boulevard and White Avenue. The incident occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m.

Due to DUI-related circumstances, a speeding SUV collided with another vehicle, carrying a family returning from a baby shower. Three occupants in the vehicle were pronounced dead on the scene, identified as 33-year-olds Yesenia, Lorena, and 33-year-old Alejandra.

Meanwhile, Juan Manuel “Jaime” Garcia, the front-seat passenger and Lorena’s husband, was urgently transported to a hospital. Alejandra’s 12-year-old daughter, Noemi Olaez, also remained in the intensive care unit.

The SUV driver, 36-year-old Victor Siharath, was arrested for felony DUI following the incident. Pomona Officials urge witnesses to the fatal collision to contact the Traffic Services Bureau at 909-620-2048.
