Long Beach native Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias is taking over Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage for Cinco de Mayo Weekend. He will perform three shows from May 3 to May 5.  Friday, May 3, marks his 25th performance with Agua Caliente Casinos so the team has added some of Fluffy’s favorite foods to the menu all weekend to celebrate.

Cinco de Mayo Weekend Food and Drink Specials:

  •     Café One Eleven at Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City: Carne a la Tampiquena, $24. Agua Frescas, $5. Latin American-inspired fare with a chef-driven menu of made-from-scratch dishes.
  •     All 360 Sports locations: Queso Birria Tacos, $18. Paloma, $15. Up-scale and elevated food offerings with giant wrap-around screens, real-time score tickers, and a surround-sound system. 360 Sports’ specials are available at all three property locations.
  •     La Olla at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage: Two Gorditas de Maíz, $20. Located in The District at Rancho Mirage, La Olla’s fast-casual Mexican cuisine serves up traditional favorites including street tacos, quesadillas and burritos.
  •     Waters Café at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage: Chicken Chorizo Enchiladas, $24. The bright, comfortable eatery has an outdoor patio overlooking the pool at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage. 
  •     “Fluffy’s Fave 5” Specialty Menu: To commemorate Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias’s 25th performance at Agua Caliente Casinos, Fluffy’s favorite menu items at Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage’s Waters Cafe will be available Friday, May 3, through Sunday, May 5, featuring elote corn, Fluffy’s orange chicken, ribs and biscuits, Baja omelet, and a bacon-wrapped chili dog.

Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken’s Socalo will offer special deals on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4.  At the restaurant on Saturday, 5/4:

  • 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The Brunch Menu will be available
  • 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Happy Hour with $4.25+ tacos and munchies, $5 beer, $8 cocktails
  • 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.: Live Mariachi music with Mariachi mi Tierra
  • Lunch and dinner specials:

STAY Zero Proof Cocktail Lounge will kick off Cinco de Mayo with ‘STAY. Festive.’ The event will feature a special non-alcoholic cocktail menu in collaboration with “Trejo’s 0% Tequila,” alongside a lively set by DJ Amor, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and  Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Walk-ins welcome, reservation link HERE.

Dive into the rich taste of Mexican cuisine with IMPASTIAMO and Chef Natalia Luna at an exclusive cooking class on Sunday, May 5, at the Mar Vista Farmers Market. The morning starts at 11 a.m., with a complimentary guacamole demonstration by Luna at the IMPASTIAMO booth. The hands-on experience is suitable for children and families. Following the demonstration, Luna will lead a market tour, offering expert advice on selecting the freshest ingredients for traditional Mexican salsas. In the evening, starting at 5 p.m., the chef will conduct a detailed cooking class in Culver City, focusing on authentic Mexican salsas and tacos. Participants will enjoy a refreshing spicy margarita.

The morning session at the market is open to all without the need for RSVPs. However, those interested in the evening cooking class should register in advance to ensure their participation, at this link.
