As our sister blog Squid Ink reported this morning, the retail review website Yelp is being sued right here in Los Angeles County for extortion. According to plaintiffs, the sites representatives work real wise-guy-like and offer to protect businesses from prominently-placed bad reviews for a small fee. More at Squid Ink. (Also at LAist).
