Unidentified Female Driver Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Accident near Highway 2

SPOKANE, WA (March 28, 2024) – One female driver died Sunday morning, in a two-car crash on East Deer Park Milan Road. The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m., just west of Highway 2 on March 3rd.

The female driver of an SUV lost control for reasons currently under investigation, causing her to veer over the center divider and collide with an oncoming Ford F-250 pickup truck. Despite efforts to save her life, medics pronounced her deceased. Her identity and residency remain undisclosed by the police.

Authorities temporarily closed the surrounding area during clearing operations, which later reopened. The driver of the Ford pickup received treatment for minor injuries.

Preliminary assessments suggest that speed and slippery road conditions may have contributed to the crash. Investigations into the fatal collision on East Deer Park Milan Road are ongoing.
