Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Deadly Collision near 90th Street

OAKLAND, CA (January 31, 2024) – One woman died Sunday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on MacArthur Boulevard.

Emergency services arrived at the location just before 9:00 a.m., situated in the 9000 block of MacArthur Boulevard near 90th Street. According to reports, a woman walking south in the westbound lanes within a marked crosswalk was struck by the driver of a white Cadillac DeVille.

The Cadillac driver fled the scene without providing assistance to the injured pedestrian. Police have not provided a description of the suspect.

Medical personnel transported the female pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. As of now, her identity is not disclosed to the public.
