Woman Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident near Wakefield Avenue

PANORAMA CITY, CA (January 25, 2024) – One woman died Friday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Roscoe Boulevard and Wakefield Avenue. Officers responded to the scene around 6:05 p.m.

According to reports, a woman walking north outside of a marked crosswalk was struck by the driver of a westbound vehicle. Upon their arrival, officers found the woman on the road with significant injuries.

Paramedics promptly transported her to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Currently, authorities are actively seeking the suspect’s vehicle, described as a lowered, dark-colored GMC Sierra.

The driver was last observed heading northbound on Lennox Avenue from Roscoe Boulevard. Panorama City officials are offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Further details will be provided as they become available.
