Female Cyclist Fatally Struck in Motorcycle vs Bicycle Accident near Latimer Avenue

SAN JOSE, CA (March 26, 2024) – One woman died Thursday night a bicycle crash on Hamilton and Latimer Avenue. Police officers responded to the scene at the 4400 block of Hamilton Avenue around 6:43 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers were informed of a collision involving an eastbound 2018 black Kawasaki Ninja and a northbound female bicyclist on Hamilton. Reports indicated that the cyclist was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk.

Responding medical personnel transported the woman on the bicycle to a nearby hospital due to her life-threatening injuries. There, she passed away from her injuries on Sunday. Currently, police have not disclosed the identity or place of residency of the deceased.

Authorities stated that the motorcyclist involved in the incident stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with the investigation.
