For the newbie, Waxahatchee is the musical pseudonym of Birmingham, Alabama native Katie Crutchfield, who decided to rename herself after a creek situated near where she grew up. March of last year saw the release of Saint Cloud, her fifth studio album, after which she performed a bunch of shows which saw her play each album in full.

Of those gigs, she said in a press release: “I’m announcing a run of five livestreams where I play all five of my albums in their entirety. This idea was born as a way to help support my band and crew through this time where we’ve had to cancel and move shows, thus causing a huge financial burden. I’m also donating a portion of the ticket sales to indie promoters around the country who have been so warm and hospitable to me over the years but are now facing a huge strain on their business.”

She’s livestreaming again this week — performing and also engaging in a virtual Q&A. Should be a blast.

Tune in at 6 p.m. PT on Thursday, February 11, here.
