Kachi Bistro

Update: The restaurant's official name is Kachi Deli Cafe and Grill. It will hold its grand opening on February 24th. Because of the date change, artist Bethany Barton will not create a live painting at the event but will paint the restaurant's wall prior to that.

Art meets Argentina at Kachi Bistro, a casual restaurant serving fresh, market-driven fare with Argentinian and Italian touches. Kachi is expected to soft-open later this week with a grand opening scheduled for late February, featuring artist Bethany Barton creating a live painting on the restaurant's wall.

Located in the base of the City of Hope building on the Western edge of downtown Los Angeles, Kachi Bistro is owned by Maria and Mariano Farber. They collaborated with architect Serena Zanella of Ctrl Arch to blend a more traditional restaurant with a more casual arthouse and café. The approximately 3,500-square-foot space will seat 50-60 people in the main area, while the entryway features a lounge area where patrons can linger as they sip coffee or read a book.
