Yes, it is Valentine's Day Weekend. Couples will be canoodling in a desperate attempt to prove to themselves and everyone else that they still have it; singletons, meanwhile, will be in defensive party mode, making Marrieds jealous, or weeping themselves to sleep after engaging in a helping of self-destructive behavior and a chaser of regret. Luckily, there are a ton of good shows this weekend to distract you from your waning romance or pitiful state of singleness, as the case may be. These are the Top 5 Things to Do This Weekend in L.A. (that don't involve standing in line for that Arcade Fire show):

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 11

AUSTIN PERALTA +TEEBS+ REBEKAH RAFF

The Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock has it going on. They will be hosting the record release of Brainfeeder artist Austin Peralta's new album “Endless Planets”. And Peralta will be accompanied by Thundercat and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. And that wasn't enough to blow your mind, Rebekah Raff (the talented harpist that you may know from her performance on Flying Lotus' Cosmogramma) will be playing, along with Teebs. Who is awesome.

Where: Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock

When: 9 pm

Info: $10/all ages

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 12

WHITE ARROWS + CHIEF + SAINT MOTEL

White Arrows is a band full of hot guys who wear Hawaiian shirts and make a mix of lo-fi-meets-electronica pop-rock jams. And they are playing a Zombie Prom zombie prom h . We don't know about you guys, but a zombie prom is kind of a once-a-year kind of opportunity for us. There will be music, costumes, bloody drink specials, and the crowning of the zombie prom king and queen. If your high school experience didn't live up to the promises made by Disney High School Musical or 90210, now's your chance to do it all over again, but covered in blood. Fake blood, that is.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 12

B.o.B. + FAR EAST MOVEMENT

Grammy nominee B.o.B. (Record of The Year, Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, Best Rap Collaboration, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Album) is practically playing in your backyard. If all of those nominations doesn't make for an incredible endorsement, we don't know what to tell you. Also, he plays the guitar and has co-signs from Eminem and T.I. Can't beat that with a bat.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 13

NETHERFRIENDS AT ORIGAMI VINYL

Like your dreamy synth-pop with some uptempo toe-tapping rhythms? Like if the Primitives and Animal Collective formed a band with someone from LCD Soundsystem and then added some cool sounds, like the ones Man Man make with pots and pans? Then you will like Netherfriends, who play for free at Origami Vinyl on Sunday.

Where: Origami Vinyl

When: 6 pm

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 13

LUNA IS HONEY + SO MANY WIZARDS

Luna is Honey take everything good about the music you grew up with (Prince, Elvis Costello, My Bloody Valentine, Brian Eno, The Cure, et cetera) and brew it into a mix of psycho-pop swing so intense that Hot Topic stores have been known to pull the plug on them after four songs due to complaints about raucous drumming. Should one play drums any other way?

Where: The Big Fish

When: 9 pm
