10. NOFX
The delicately titled “New Year's Heave” at the Wiltern with San Francisco-based punk rock legends NOFX. NOFX is a foundational group, with a history spanning over two decades and over a dozen albums. They are fairly reclusive, eschewing contact with the media, and don't tour as often as we would hope.

9. NEW YEAR'S EVE AT THE CHA CHA LOUNGE

8. THE WARLOCKS
L.A.'s unstoppable psych-rock band the Warlocks take over the Smell for a night of heavy vibes. Prepare for oblivion at Bobby's Psychedelic Death Rock New Year's Eve!

7. CLEOPATRA'S NEW YEAR'S EVE BALL
The Egyptian Theater has recently gone through a $15 milion face-lift. Also DJs will be spinning mashups and an LED lightshow will accompany the countdown. VIP lounge service is still available; consider this beautiful venue for your countdown to the new year.

6. 'THE RAT PACK NEW YEAR'S EVE'
For something more elegant check out the Glendon Kitchen New Year's eve party, featuring an open bar for $30 ($30???) and a rat-pack-style old-Hollywood themed soiree. Period attire recommended!

5. TOGETHER AS ONE
Laidback Luke and Markus Schulz are among the super star DJs who will be spinning at this event. The video from last year looks intense. If you're into loud music, huge crowds, and dancing all night, this might be the New Year's eve party for you.

4. GIANT NYE
This extravaganza will feature DJs Gabriel & Dresden, as well as Kristina Sky and Francis Preve. Tickets to the champagne room and VIP areas are still available, but act fast cause this gonna be off the hook, amiright?

3. BOOTIE LA with LADY TIGRA and MORE
Is the Eastside more your vibe? Check out the mashup party that is Bootie LA (with live performance by Lady Tigra) at the EchoPlex. Bonus: organizers describe it as “a mixed/friendly crowd,” the drinks are affordable, and it's in a good location if you live Eastside and want to walk home.

2. JASON BENTLEY, MAYER HAWTHORNE, CLASSIXX AND RAUL CAMPOS
Want to spend your New Year's Eve in style? Head down to the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica and check out DJ sets by Mayer Hawthorne, Classixx, Jason Bentley, and Raul Campos. The hotel is modern and luxurious, located close to the ocean, with pools, a spa, a gym, and other amenities.

1. AUTOLUX AND THE RAVEONETTES
This show is going to be insane. It will be at the Standard in Hollywood, an edgy hotel in an ideal location. And the tickets are pretty reasonable, considering which bands are playing and considering that it's New Year's Eve. Autolux hasn't toured in awhile; this is another can't miss!
