Child Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Fawndale Lane and Highway 290

HOUSTON, TX (February 13, 2024) – A young girl was killed Tuesday night, in a pedestrian crash at the 5900 block of Guhn Road. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m., near Fawndale Lane and Highway 290.

Authorities report that the driver of a vehicle was entering a parking lot from the rear of the property, where the vehicle collided with an 18-month-old child who was playing in the vicinity. Following the incident, the driver stopped to provide assistance and contact police.

Emergency medical personnel arrived, and the 18-month-old girl was taken to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Currently, an ongoing investigation is in progress to gather additional information. Further details about the fatal pedestrian accident on Guhn Road will be disclosed once they become available.
