61-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Deadly Accident near McDowell Road

PHOENIX, AZ (May 17, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, 61-year-old Timothy Splinter was killed in a pedestrian crash near 35th Avenue.

The accident occurred near the intersection of 35th Avenue and McDowell Road around 4:30 a.m.

According to reports, Splinter was crossing lanes of traffic when the driver of a vehicle struck him. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered the victim with significant injuries.

Due to the extent of his condition, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Phoenix Police Officers later identified the pedestrian as Splinter.

No other details about the crash have been made available to the public. However, an active investigation into the fatal pedestrian crash is underway.
