Choreographer-dancers Carmela Hermann, Terrence Luke Johnson and Jmy James Kidd share an evening reprising Hermann's Homestretch and the current incarnation of Kidd's IS. A distillation of the five-year relationship between new mother Hermann and Johnson, a self-described “gay retiree and accidental dad/grandfather,” Homestretch reaches way beyond its sitcom/soap-opera summary. Known for her text-based dance improvisation, Hermann crafts choreography with a clear eye that made Homestretch well received in prior performances at the Bootleg Theatre and Highways Performance Space. It is paired with Kidd's IS, short for Inner Sunset. The abbreviated title mirrors the evolution of the piece from a quintet to a duet and now a solo version for Kidd.
