It was a librarians fantasy turned into reality on June 2, 2012 when books, poetry, comedy and music congregated together at the Mark Taper Auditorium – Central Library in celebration of the sixth installment of the Library Foundation's series, “This is Your Library.” Guests like actor, comedian and art collector Cheech Marin, poet & UCLA Professor of English Harryette Mullen, founding member of The Cure Lol Tolhurst, and Taschen's Sexy Book editor Dian Hanson were among the people who took the stage for a Q&A session. This wasn't your usual library event as the local band Wildcat!Wildcat! jammed away in the courtyard and turned the usually quiet atmosphere into a full on outdoor concert event. For the Mexican fare enthusiasts, Border Grill was also there to quench guests appetites and provide a mouth watering aroma lingering in the air.
