Ah, the carnival — the epitome of family fun times, right? Wrong! Sure, some fun may be had, but there's also a seedy, creepy underbelly to the laughter and lights of the midway, one that reeks of burning popcorn, stale cotton candy and engine grease from death-trap rides! Not to mention (shudder) — carnies! And that's exactly the atmosphere that the great Dana Gould and Dave Koechner are hoping to tip you head-first into with Carnyville, an evening of comedy and music intended to “re-create the golden era of life along the midway. With standup, special guests, music and a creepy sense of creepitude.” Lending their talents to the creepitude along with your hosts will be Eddie Pepitone, Ali Wong and others. All for 10 measly bucks, which would buy you a candy apple, five chances to lose a big stuffed poodle and whiplash on the Tilt-a-Whirl. Isn't this more fun?
