After a wildly successful London Pro Open, the Street League World Tour began in L.A. on Saturday, July 7, at USC's Galen Center. Founded by pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek in 2010, Street League Skateboarding has quickly grown into a world phenomenon, bringing arena skateboarding to the masses and sparking a cultural revolution.
The skate community was out in full force to support. Among too many pros to even name, some of the notables were Nyjah Huston, Louie Lopez, Luan Oliveira, Chris Joslin, Chaz Ortiz, Torey Pudwill, Shane O'Neill, Yuto Horigome, Kelvin Hoefler, Manny Santiago and Zion Wright.
Yuto Horigome placed first, with Chris Joslin (Crowd Favorite) placing second and Kelvin Hoefler coming in third. Zion Wright did some incredible skating as well, but after qualifying for the finals, he injured himself while practicing and was unable to compete in the final heat.
