Artists for Artists and Loud Village presented the 11th installment of Nightswim, the regular series of dance events at the rooftop at the Standard Downtown LA hotel, on Wednesday, Aug. 24. Last night's DJs were Los Angeles' own Ana Calderon and NYC's queen of retro sound curation, Alix Brown. Though it was a bit cold for actual night swimming (the pool was largely empty throughout the night), a large crowd gathered to dance to sets of post-disco classics (ZE Records, Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Blondie, Grace Jones), reggae and classic hip-hop.
