With over 100 programs each month, reaching an impressive 300 thousand people annually, the organization delivers joy and healing through the arts. From providing music to children in hospitals to delivering artistic experiences to those in hospice care, their impact is profound.
Sébastien Léon, a dedicated volunteer for The Art of Elysium, has made an indelible mark through his artistic contributions. Hailing from France and now residing in Los Angeles, Léon is a gifted multi-media artist known for his exploratory and thought-provoking creations. Through a seamless combination of painting, sculpture, and installations, Léon crafts immersive experiences that delve into themes of identity, memory, and the essence of being human. His art offers viewers a unique perspective on the complexities of life, leaving a lasting impression.
Guests eagerly arrived at seven o’clock to be greeted by a radiant neon sign that spelled out “Heaven,” paying homage to the charity’s renowned event and embodying its very essence. Dressed in their finest attire, attendees hailed from diverse backgrounds and industries, united by their profound love for the arts and unwavering support for the charity’s mission.
During the cocktail hour, guests were treated to a tantalizing array of fondue, charcuterie, and a selection of exquisite wines and champagnes, generously provided by Terra Firma. Embracing Léon’s French heritage, signature French 75 cocktails added an elegant touch to the evening’s festivities.
The event’s centerpiece was the unveiling of Léon’s exclusive limited edition print, titled “The Dream Machine.” With only 100 sets available, attendees had the exceptional opportunity to acquire a unique piece of Léon’s captivating artwork for $100.00 per print. Adding to the event’s enchanting ambiance was an intimate musical performance by Claude Fontaine, an acclaimed artist renowned for her soulful melodies, accompanied by guitarist Kleber Jorge. Following the musical interlude, guests were escorted to the elegant Restoration Hardware art salon, where they savored a delectable French dinner prepared by esteemed chefs Damien Sylvester and Quinn Goodness, alongside the skilled team from Catering of Paris. The menu showcased three savory crepes, including vegan options, accompanied by a mouthwatering dessert crepe and a selection of vibrant French salads.
During the event, Maureen Lee Consilvio, the Development Director, and CEO & Founder Jennifer Howell delivered insightful speeches on The Art of Elysium’s mission and the transformative power of art in healing. Dinner was followed by an engaging Q&A session featuring Sébastien Léon and Arts of Elysium Founder Jennifer Howell, delving into the artist’s creative process and its profound connection to the #artheals mission.
