Taya Tkachuk, a highly respected and multi award-nominated hairstylist, is known for her expertise in effortless blonding placements and hairstyling education. Growing up in a small town in northern Alberta, Canada, Taya always harbored big dreams. She attended Marvel College, a cosmetology school in Edmonton, before apprenticing at Blue Gemini Salon. In 2018, she successfully attained her Journeyman Red Seal Hairstyling certificate. Her dream of opening her salon became a reality while working at a commission salon in Kelowna, British Columbia, where she built a solid client base through her talent and social media marketing skills.
Less than a year later, Tkachuk opened Cove Salon in September 2022. Never one to be satisfied quickly, Tkachuk continued to pursue her dreams by launching her journey in hair education in 2023. She began sharing her insights on technique and placement through educational programs, impacting hundreds of hairstylists worldwide by teaching her specialties online and in person.

Over the past few years, Tkachuk has earned impressive accolades and built a notable roster of clients. Recognized among the Top 25 Blondes at the Behind The Chair OneShot Awards in 2022 and 2023 out of more than 25,000 global entries. The 2024 selections are ongoing, but she has already been named one of the Top 100 Blondes for 2024. She was also in the Top 100 in the Platinum category in 2022, 2023 and the Top 100 Shag/Mullet category in 2022.
Tkachuk’s success as a hairstylist has also earned her two celebrity clients. She has provided hairstyling services for The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe, who starred in the eleventh season of the series. Tkachuk was also the stylist of country singer/songwriter Alli Walker when Walker lived in Kelowna.
