60-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Collision near Champion Grandview Way

AUSTIN, TX (April 10, 2024)Tawnya Sanders died Friday night in a 2-car collision at the 6400 block of North Capital of Texas Highway. Police officers responded to the scene around 9:45 p.m., near Champion Grandview Way on March 22nd.

Currently, the circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear. However, it has been reported that two vehicles collided in the vicinity. Upon arrival, first responders found Sanders trapped inside her vehicle. Emergency crews promptly extricated her and initiated life-saving measures.

Due to the severity of her injuries, Sanders, aged 60, was pronounced deceased by medics. Furthermore, another individual injured in the incident was transported by paramedics to St. David’s South Hospital for undisclosed injuries.
