Three Pronounced Dead after Mini Cooper Collision near Treasure Island

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 6, 2024) Sean Luttjohann, Lorissa Weller, and Bim Thorpe died early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80.

Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 4:14 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of Bay Bridge just west of Treasure Island.

According to reports, a red Mini Cooper was stopped in the eastbound lanes. There, the driver of a Toyota Tacoma collided with the stationary vehicle. Upon arrival, first responders pronounced the occupants of the Mini Cooper deceased at the scene.

Simultaneously, emergency medical personnel took another passenger from the same vehicle to San Francisco General Hospital, where they later succumbed to injuries on Thursday afternoon. The driver of the Tacoma was also promptly taken to a hospital for treatment of significant injuries.
