For nearly 40 years, He-Man fans have been waiting For nearly 40 years, He-Man fans have been waiting for a properly realized live-action Masters of the Universe movie. Director Travis Knight has been waiting for that film all his life, too, and now he’s the one bringing Eternia to the big screen. "I seriously still cannot believe that I got to make this movie," he says. Opening this Friday, June 5, "Masters of the Universe" stars Nicholas Galitzine as Adam Glenn/He-Man and embraces the camp, wackiness, and heart of the original 1983 Filmation cartoon. The film balances sword-and-sorcery action with grounded drama, colorful visuals, and a roster of heroes and villains that look strikingly close to their animated counterparts. Jared Leto brings Skeletor to life with a flamboyant Shakespearean edge, while Queen guitarist Brian May contributes to the film’s sweeping rock-opera score. Ahead of the film’s release, Knight explains reinventing He-Man's lore while honoring the source material, why he hates Skeletor’s Keldor origin, scrapping Mer-Man and Snout Spout, and the future of Eternia. @masters

After decades in Hollywood, Bryan Cranston recentl After decades in Hollywood, Bryan Cranston recently told his wife, Robin Dearden, “I want to start slowing down.” Since then, he’s wrapped night shoots for “The Studio,” returned from London after starring in “All My Sons,” and begun promoting the “Malcolm in the Middle” reboot. Cranston is also celebrating 10 years of Dos Hombres, the agave spirits brand he launched with Breaking Bad co-star Aaron Paul. What began as a dinner between two friends who missed working together has grown from mezcal into tequila, with new Blanco and Reposado expressions joining the lineup. Born in Hollywood and raised in Canoga Park, Cranston went to Sunny Brae Avenue Elementary, Christopher Columbus Jr. High, and Canoga Park High School, followed by LA Valley College in Van Nuys. As one of the hardest working actors in Hollywood, it’s been a long time since Cranston has taken the time to relax and breathe in the air since his childhood days growing up in the San Fernando Valley. @bryancranston
