Rome in Silver Gets Moody: SoCal producer Rome in Silver first got into producing in elementary school when he was about 10 years old. Eight years later, things started to get serious. Today, he describes his sound as “Funky beats, intricate rhythms, shifting/blending styles of all kinds into one project.”

That’s a sharp description of the Rome in Silver vibe. We caught him performing a couple of months ago in Anaheim with French DJ and producer CloZee, at a Drive-In OC event.

That was the one and only drive-in show I did during lockdown,” he says. “It was fun but I’m also glad it was the only one I did. The energy was something I wasn’t used to as opposed to a regular show. Much different.”

Rome in Silver’s new EP is Makeshift Moon.

This EP is a lot more moody than most of my previous work,” he says. “Kind of a reflection of my headspace as well as where things may be heading for me personally.”

With that out, the artist is looking forward to getting out and about for the remainder of the year.

“I hope to start rolling out the album but it’s still very much in the early stages so we’ll see,” he says. “I do have plenty of shows planned all over the U.S. Can’t wait!”
