Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Crash on Floradora Avenue

FRESNO, CA (March 1, 2022) – Wednesday night, 33-year-old Rochelle Rodriguez was killed in a pedestrian crash on Valentine Avenue.

First responders arrived to the scene around 10:40 p.m., near Floradora Avenue on February 23.

Per reports, the driver of a GMC Sierra struck the woman who was walking along the roadway. After striking the pedestrian, the driver fled the scene without stopping and rendering aid.

Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced Rodriguez dead at the scene.

Officials later described the suspect’s driver as a dark-colored GMC Sierra truck model from between 1999 and 2007, with tinted windows and dark headlight lenses.

Furthermore, the crash caused damage to the truck’s left front bumper and headlight. A witness also described the truck as “lifted.”
