This has been a dark week for the United States. Watching the frankly awe-inspiring Dr. Christine Blasey Ford questioned ceaselessly about her credible testimony, and then Brett Kavanaugh melt down like a toddler who can't have ice cream, and realize that it is the latter who is likely to hold one of the country's most powerful positions and make decisions that will affect us all, has been more than a little soul-destroying.
Today, many of the people of Los Angeles put their foot down, hosted by the Women's March L.A. Foundation, gathering at Los Angeles City Hall with the message, “Believe survivors, STOP Kavanaugh.”
“We need to mobilize NOW, before the full Senate votes early next week, to show senators that their constituents emphatically reject the elevation of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and respect Dr. Ford's courage,” the group wrote on Facebook. We agree.
