Pasadena City College got mad headlines when porn star James Deen spoke to a “Navigating Pornography” class (as if we need instruction on that!) in February.

USC, of course, will not be outdone by a community college:

It is hosting a panel discussion, “An Evening with the Adult Film Industry,” featuring a recently hospitalized and now recovering Ron Jeremy, super-hottie performer Allie Haze, and Vivid Entertainment honcho Steven Hirsch.

The event, open to the public [added: USC says it's only for students, faculty and staff], happens April 4 at 7 p.m. and will kick off with a screening of the documentary Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy. There will be highlights from Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody (bring tissue — it's sad) as well as a look at a Funny Or Die spoof of L.A.'s mandatory condom initiative for porn.

The panel will be moderated by recent USC School of Cinematic Arts PhD David Lerner, according to a statement from Vivid.

Topics are to include cultural attitudes about sexual representations in porn, business practices in the adult industry, the mandatory condom fight, and busting adult-video myths.

It's not everyday you get to watch porn on campus and then talk about it with one of the stars (Haze was a key attraction in Star Wars XXX) so this could be interesting.
