Pink's hot dog stand, as venerable an LA hot spot as Grauman's and the Santa Monica pier (and arguably the same caliber, foodwise), has opened a location at Knott's Berry Farm. This is cool, not least because it happily coincides with Halloween, and your kids' inevitable need to go to the Knott's Scary Farm, which runs until November 1st.

According to the OC Register; the Knott's chef and his staff pilgrimaged to the original location on La Brea (which opened in 1939) for a tutorial, and the Knott's stand will feature the same ingredients, “from the bun to the chili to the wieners themselves.” And you knew they had to have a Halloween hot dog specialty: the Knott's Monster “Haunt” Dog, which is a jalapeño dog with chili, bacon, relish, onions, tomatoes and sour cream. Sounds scary enough. Especially if you eat one before some of those rides.
