The Dodgers took home the 6-5 win after a walk-off home run by Freddie Freeman (sound familiar?) at Game 3 of the World Series last night, Oct. 27, in an epic 6 hour 39 minute, 18 inning game.
It was the second longest World Series game, trailing only the 2018 World Series Game 3, also played at Dodgers Stadium, also 18 innings. That one lasted 7 hours 20 minutes, and ended in a 3-2 win by the Dodgers over the Red Sox with a Max Muncy walk-off homer.
Last night’s game saw many heroic plays, including pitcher Will Klein, added to the Dodgers roster for the World Series, who brought home four scoreless innings, striking out five batters.
We also saw what might be the last of Kershaw on the mound. And Ohtani homered twice and made it to base nine times, a record for the post-season.
