Pedestrian in Wheelchair Fatally Struck in Collision near Strathern Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 26, 2023) – Tragedy struck on Friday morning when a pedestrian accident on Lankershim Boulevard claimed the life of Peter Arata.

At approximately 11:00 a.m., law enforcement responded to the incident that occurred at 7843 Lankershim Boulevard in close proximity to Strathern Street.

Upon their arrival, authorities determined that a southbound vehicle had collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the street in a wheelchair. However, the specific circumstances leading to this tragic collision remain shrouded in uncertainty.

Regrettably, first responders at the scene declared the victim, identified as 56-year-old Peter Arata, deceased. Notably, the police have refrained from providing any details regarding the description of the motorist or their vehicle.

On the subsequent Saturday, the medical examiner’s office officially confirmed the identity of the deceased pedestrian as Peter Arata.
