80-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Single-Car Accident near Morongo Trail

CABAZON, CA (April 10, 2024)Pedro Valle died late Sunday morning in a solo-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 10. Police officers responded to the scene shortly after 11:00 a.m., just east of the Morongo Trail exit.

As per the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a Toyota Camry lost control of the vehicle under unknown circumstances, leading it to veer off the road. The Camry eventually collided with a tree, resulting in fatal injuries to the driver. The deceased driver was later identified by police as 80-year-old Valle from Yucaipa.

There were no other vehicles involved in the fatal incident, and details surrounding the occurrence remain unclear at this time. Emergency responders temporarily closed off the surrounding area for cleanup and initial investigations.
