33-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run near Van Ness Avenue

FRESNO, CA (February 14, 2024) – Late Saturday night, Paul Sanchez was killed in a bicycle accident on Clinton and Van Ness Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m.

According to preliminary information, a cyclist was hit by the driver of a dark-colored vehicle in the vicinity. Subsequently, the driver left the scene without providing assistance or notifying the police.

Emergency medical personnel arrived and transported the victim to Community Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased bicyclist was later identified by Fresno police as 33-year-old Paul Sanchez.

At this point, law enforcement has not disclosed further details about the suspect or the vehicle involved. Individuals who witnessed this fatal hit-and-run are urged to promptly reach out to Fresno officials.
