For those who see Valentine's Day as much more than Hallmark's evil scheme to tap your piggy bank, the romantic holiday can bring on full-blown panic attacks for singles (and couples) who don't have a plan of action. Luckily, Angelenos had more than enough events and parties to pick from over the weekend, both V-Day related and not, including downtown's all-night Lucent L'amour love fest (check back Tuesday for photos), Club Suicide's naughty lingerie party at the Dragonfly, stylized anarchy with noise artist Kawaiietly Please, the Comic and Sci-Fi Convention at the Shrine, and extreme dog culture at Pasadena's Creative Grooming competition and the Long Beach Bulldog Beauty Contest.

Club Suicide celebrated Valentine's Day with a lingerie party at the Dragonfly. Those who dared to bare (even the boys) got in free until midnight. Check out clubsuicide.net for details on the next party. Click the photo to view the entire Club Suicide slideshow

Some Angelenos spent the day after Valentine's spoiling their other better halves – their dogs. Click through for Amy Nicholson's photos of Hannah Montana-styled poodles, Transformers poodles, Triceratops poodles and more at the Creative Grooming competition at the Groom and Kennel Expo in Pasadena.
