31-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near Sunrise Boulevard

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (January 20, 2023) – Monday morning, Oscar Armando Monreal was killed in a pedestrian collision on Jackson Road.

First responders arrived to the scene around 5:30 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of Jackson Road near Sunrise Boulevard.

Per reports, the driver of an eastbound Toyota Tacoma struck a man who was walking into the lanes.

Due to the impact of the crash, medical personnel pronounced 31-year-old Monreal, of Stockton dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

Following preliminary duties, the California Highway Patrol ruled out alcohol and drugs as a factor in the incident. Police are asking anyone with information about the Jackson Road pedestrian crash to contact Sacramento officials as soon as possible.
